Cricket fiction for young readers. . .

Hello my name is Neil Hanley and i am a children's author. I was born in Kent, England, I was brought up on the South coast, by sporty parents. My dad played professional football and my brother became a professional cricketer. I've been a big sports fan since I was a child, I can remember the competition and the brilliant matches. I have had a couple of short stories published in a series of Anthologies produced by the local writers group in Leighton Buzzard. 
Set in present day, Outside Edge follows the fortunes of 12 year old Lewis Duckworth who wants to be a cricketer but never seems to get the chance. 
Playing his first cricket match for his new school goes horribly wrong.
Will he and his family remain OUTSIDERS?
It makes him determined to prove he can do better as he tries to EDGE his new team to glory in the Inter Town Twenty cup.
Outside edge will appeal to readers between the ages of 9-12 years old, to boys and girls who enjoy cricket and to every child who has dreamed of one day making  it big at something.
The sequel, Final Chance will continue following this story as Lewis Duckworth returns. . .
I hope also to find markets for the third book Hit-And-Run which I am completing.
